Iyashi Cabin

Project overview

Iyashi Cabin explores a Japanese-inspired retreat framed by trees and garden planting. A broad pitched roof, deep eaves, timber posts, and a circular window give the exterior its character. Raised terraces extend the rooms outdoors, while a timber pergola creates a shaded gathering space beneath the cabin.

The interiors pair slatted timber ceilings with muted finishes, built-in cabinetry, and large glazed openings. A lounge faces the garden, and a pool table anchors the open recreation area. Across the views, the focus is on relaxed spaces for sitting, playing, and spending time together, with the surrounding landscape always close by.
